The design

Soltuion F can help you design your projects and offers a range of services:

 

  • Design work on any internal combustion engine
  • Design work based on a powertrain or demonstration vehicle
  • Design from scratch (engine, propulsion system, vehicle, etc.)
  • Management of complete projects, from simulation and design to demonstrator

 

We have all the design tools used in the automotive and aerospace industries: Catia v5, Ideas, Autocad, Adams, Mitchell, Matlab Simulink , Geomagic, CADM V9

Simulation & prototyping

One of Solution F’s distinctive features is its ability to take on projects from the specification finalization phase onwards.

To achieve this, Solution F relies on a “simulation and systems” sector:

  • Feasibility study, pre-sizing, system architecture,
  • Functional simulation (Matlab, dedicated tools, etc.),
  • FEM and CFD calculations, etc.
  • Development of prototype application software,
  • 3D printing to validate hypotheses.
Production

Our high-performance production facilities give us total autonomy and great flexibility, in the service of responsiveness and confidentiality for the production of complex, high-precision parts:

 

  • 3-axis and 5-axis machining centres,
  • A mechanised welding section,
  • High-performance metrology,
  • A prototype wiring workshop.

 

We have two assembly departments:

  • One specialising in engines and powertrains,
  • The other for vehicle assembly.
Integration

Solution F’s expertise in the design and operation of each component of a power train enables us to offer integration services for both the automotive and aeronautics industries:

  • Installation of the various powertrain components in an existing chassis (retrofit) or one designed by us,
  • Mechanical, electrical and software interfacing,
  • Development and/or adaptation of the VCU to manage power and energy sources and hybridisation,
  • Fine-tuning.
Test benches

Solution F is one of the few players on the market to be equipped with hydrogen test benches!

We are equipped with two high-power test benches compatible with all energies: petrol, diesel, hydrogen, alternative fuel, etc.

This equipment delivers top-level performance: maximum power of 600 kW, torque of 900 Nm, maximum speed of 12,000 rpm, rapid data acquisition and analysis of combustion and pollution.

We design and produce all types of test equipment for analysing complex mechanical systems and test benches (lubrication, bearings, gears) for a wide range of technologies used in the automotive and aerospace industries.

Operating

Throughout its history, Solution F has taken part in the biggest national and international championships, either on its own behalf or on behalf of manufacturers:

  • The World Rally Championship
  • The Paris Dakar
  • The 24 Hours of Le Mans
  • The Andros Trophy
  • Tyre development
  • Etc.

Now more specialised in ‘circuit’ disciplines, Solution F has mastered the operating tools needed to develop and operate a vehicle as part of a sports programme.
